Happy Labour Day

Labour Day weekend , to me, heralds the beginning of a new year.  New routines start as the summer ends, and the cooling weather is energizing and sparks new ideas and goals.  But September days are bittersweet as the beauty of the changing colours also reminds us that November and winter will be here before long. Summer is a season where we don't have to worry about the weather; autumn can bring unexpected snow even as early as late October. I feel like I need to shake up my resolve in case winter should prove to be challenging.
In the meantime, I am planning on cooking up soup made from garden produce which I will freeze so we can enjoy it when the cold weather comes.  And before I know it, I will be perusing the seed catalogues and starting little plants on the windowsills.
Hope you all have a beautiful September.

  1. I agree, September has always seemed like a time for renewal even a the garden dies back.

Hope the weather holds for some time yet. No snow until December!
