In the soft, dark earth
The seed breathes, lets out a little sigh.
Damp and warm, it swells with hope
And stretches out a shoot.
Sun-unfurling arms welcome air and space
Inspiring and exhaling green.
Soon up blow little emerald balloons
Exploding, burst colour and fragrance.
Into the soft, dark earth
A seed nestles, lets out a little sigh.
