Winter Sumac

The staghorn sumac adds some welcome colour to the winter landscape.  It can be food for birds and squirrels, and deer, but I guess there is lots of other food around because most of the sumac still has its fruit.

  1. I'm glad staghorn sumac berries last because, as you said, they add beauty to the landscape. Berries are in short supply this year so I bet they will be gladly eaten by robins and other birds this spring.
