White Admiral

I'm still seeing quite a few butterflies around this summer.  The White Admirals are common and hard to miss with the distinct white band.

I think this is a folded-up Painted Lady butterfly.

  1. The butterflies this year are just wild. I guess they must love all that sun and heat. Great post as always.

  2. These are wonderful pics. I am always so impressed by people who can take pictures of butterflies because I have tried, without much success. They always flit away too fast and I end up with a blurred picture. The white admiral, especially in your second photo, is strikingly beautiful.
