Leaving from the Montreal airport, we got on a small regional plane heading for
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
My sister has moved to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and we went down to have a visit with her.
We decided to fly to PEI so we could spend a little time on the island before going to Cape Breton. Time in the air from Montreal to Charlottetown was just over an hour.
The Charlottetown airport is very small so it's super easy to make your way to the appropriate areas.
Car rental desks are right inside the arrival door, and in two minutes you are driving down the road.
Wonderful.
We booked into the Super 8 about a 10 minute drive from the airport . We had a perfectly adequate room with a comfortable bed and good hot shower for a reasonable price. The location was excellent as it turned out to be five minutes away from
where they make the very best ice cream I have ever tasted in my whole life. It was seriously in a category by itself. Yum! They also sell T-shirts and other simple clothing items with graphics like the one on their sign that include a humorous caption similar to a current expression or person's name that somehow introduces "moos" or other cow related words.
Next time, some photos of PEI, and later photos of Cape Breton.
Hope you enjoy sharing our trip.

The smallest airport I ever landed at was on a Greek island. Passport control was in a sort of shed. A door marked Baggage Reclaim led outside to the back of the shed where our bags were brought on a wheelbarrow! Looking forward to the Cape Breton photos as I had an uncle who came from there.
